This Sudbury Photographer scratched one off is photo bucket list last Fall while photographing a Canadian Coal Operation. From a distance they look big. From up close they are titans. You have seen my other images with loaders and haulers so you can get the “picture” of just how big these Dragline Excavators really are.

The “Scorpion” designed by Nordex Explosives for safer delivering of emulsion products to the blast hole could be the future in underground emulsion handling. Earlier this year I photographed the Scorpion in action performing various simulations.

Sherritt Oil & gas workers in Yumuri Cuba take measurements of the rods. You can see the ocean just behind the second worker which was nice as the cool air was refreshing while photographing in +38 temps.

It could however be worth THOUSANDS of dollars. When you are trying to showcase your product, process, or facility words can only go so far to paint the picture. The more visual insight you can give your clients is never a bad thing but I do see a lot of mistakes when industry companies use photography to promote. Mistakes like using amateur photos from cell phones or old outdated photographs. Even using stock photography with people and products that have nothing to do with the company.
Your marketing material should be constantly updated and this includes the images used to promote your company.
Lighting, composition and adding employees can increase the impact of a photo.
