There is a wide diversity of operations that happen above ground in the mining industry which include prospecting, geology, exploration, drilling, openpit mining, transportation and reclamation.   Over the years I have not only photographed each stage from the beginning to the end of the mining process but also each subsidiary element within the industry including the manufacturers of the mining equipment, drill bits, safety gear, software, mineral process and environmental applications.
