Can you tell which images were taken with my cellphone (it’s considered equipment)? LOL

I saw this image in my feed yesterday and realized I have not shared this image as of yet, so here’s a throwback from 2019. After a creative shoot with www.rokion.com I had my wonderful Rokion Representative Michael Poupore sit in for a few last captures. His expression says it all. We created a great library of underground images with lots of laughs throughout the day. Thanks again Michael for a great session, looking forward to working with you and Rokion again some day.

Since I first photographed Kendra Liinamaa back in November I have seen her name pop up in my feeds on a consistent basis.
Most recently she became a www.kickasscareers.ca ambassador. Kickass Careers founded by Jamie McMillan advocates promoting careers in skilled trades and technology through keynotes, panel presentations, workshops, mentorship opportunities and exhibits across North America.
Kendra was also highlighted on www.wisesudbury.com WISE is dedicated to the advancement of women in Science, Engineering, Trades, and Technology. Their programs serve to fill the gap for women looking to connect and network with like-minded individuals on their path to success and encourage young women to consider careers in SETT
Keep up the great work Kendra!!!!!
The images I create are an investment to the company and the companies marketing. Each image has the potential to be used across the media spectrum that reaches their different demographic targets within that platform. When I create images for a company, it’s of their employees, their facilities, their products and services. These images are proprietary to them and therefor convey their message with more relatability.
I have walked tradeshows where I have seen the same stock image used throughout multiple companies, I have watched 60 minute power point presentations with next to zero imagery (this is a WHOLE OTHER DISCUSSION lol) and I have had calls from magazine editors asking for images as the company they are featuring doesn’t have any. Photography is a key component to marketing and marketing is a key component to business, always has and hopefully always will be.

I had an AMAZING time last night creating some new images for Equipment North Inc. with Warren Cayen and Gates Pothier. There is nothing more gratifying than when a shooting plan comes together and is executed flawlessly.

From my session with www.cat.com. I opened the door to the R1700 XE Battery Electric Underground Loader to get a better view of the cab.
I had a field day touring the MacLean Engineering facility in Barrie Ontario capturing the different work stations throughout the day. The industrial side of fabrication is just as fascinating to me as the environment the mining equipment is used in.

I was discussing my photography with a few friends this past weekend. I was being referred to as an “artist”, something I have to this day never considered myself. I am not saying that photography isn’t art, I know it is, but I have never “felt” like an artist. I feel like an entrepreneur, a businessman where my product is photography. Over the years I have worked hard to tweak and modify my product to the best I can make it. Not only with the quality of imagery but with the time it takes to create it, the interactions with my clients and the professionalism I have learned from others along the way.
It’s a simple formula I have followed for over 26 years,
Quality Product + Efficiency + Professionalism = Success
I say this to every client and prospect “I will give you the best of my ability EVERY single time with what I have to work with.” This is now become my “Mining Photog Experience” ~ https://lnkd.in/eCUeJKa
