The “Scorpion” designed by Nordex Explosives for safer delivering of emulsion products to the blast hole could be the future in underground emulsion handling. Earlier this year I photographed the Scorpion in action performing various simulations.

Sherritt Oil & gas workers in Yumuri Cuba take measurements of the rods. You can see the ocean just behind the second worker which was nice as the cool air was refreshing while photographing in +38 temps.

Congratulations Totten Mine

Totten Mine had it’s official grand opening this past Friday. I had the pleasure to photograph all the different stages of the project and I watched the progress every weekend as I headed to my cottage which takes me right past the site. Totten closed in 1972 a year before I was born and as a kid when we crested the hill and the old headframe came into view we knew we were almost at the lake.

Congratulations to everyone involved.
