Now is the time.
When you want images that depict summer months then summer months are the best time to create them. The leaves are green, the foliage is in bloom and the summer hours offer more daylight to capture the outdoors. We have only a few months left before Fall changes the landscape and therefore the images we create.
All things aligned during my last session at Pure Gold www.puregoldmining.ca, warm weather, sunshine, and a great crew of employees to capture.

One of my favorite times to work (when it’s warm) is when daylight has ended and I get an hour or two to capture the site at night. The sounds are different, it seems like things are slower but it is an illusion of sound. I have no timeline, no shot list, just me, the camera, and the night.

McKean (Mik) took right to this Jumbo Simulator during our photography session yesterday. Just like all technology the advancements in mine training simulators have come a long way and the proof is in the graphic details as well as the sounds and movements within the simulator.

Everything on the mine site has a strong sense of cohesion. Above ground or below each area works together to complete the overall mining process. With the Summer months coming I am looking forward to getting back outdoors (above ground) on sites to capture more of the above ground process. So far the Summer is looking Grand.
Updated Aaron Lafleur‘s headshot for FL Design Drafting & Consulting. I photographed at this spot once over 20 years ago and as we were scouting a location we ended up in the same area.
I believe it is important to keep your bio pic updated and relevant to your business especially for platforms like Linkedin and your companies website. Some may think it’s a small thing but in my opinion your bio pic is a big step in the process of personal branding.
5 things you should not use for your professional bio image include:
– outdated/old picture
– bad laptop video selfie
– low res pixelated image
– unrelated image
– no picture at all (I do not accept any linkedin invitations if there is no bio pic).
