Yesterday I volunteered some time to photograph each team at the Strokes For Hope golf tournament held at Timberwolf Golf Course in Sudbury Ontario. The NCRF hosted another great event on what looked like a cloudy stormy start but ended up with clear skies and sunshine by the end of the day. Pictured below is the Miners For Cancer Team.

Just as I would in studio, when I create portraits on the job site I pay careful attention to the main fundamentals of good photography. Lighting, composition & exposure. However there is more to it than this, lens selection, aperture choice, background environment and white balance are key factors as well even when creating a portrait using simple ambient light.
