Flying out towards my cottage today I grabbed this quick shot of First Nickel Lockerby Mine. I actually have some fond memories of this site when I was a kid. My Grandfather was an on site security guard there and at one point lived on site with my Grandmother. They had this huge mobile home right on the mine site. I would go visit him regularly as our cottage was not far away. I remember staying overnight there and even riding my bike around the site. I was about 8 or 9 at the time. Fond memories for sure.
