This heavy duty truck looks miniscule when photographed from across the open pit, but close up it’s a beast. You really don’t realize how big an open pit mine is until your inside it.

Ontario Cement Plant
Here is another night image I created while touring the Essroc Cement Factory in Picton Ontario. The different color temperatures of the lights creates a unique ambiance to rather “grey” scene.

Mine People Canada
Any chance I can create a nice “portrait” of someone I jump on it. Some hesitate when I ask and some are more than willing. I always ask if they have ever had a professional portrait of themselves while on the job and surprisingly the majority say no. I think everyone should have a great portrait of themselves at work. It’s a usually a big part of your life and it’s something you can show your loved ones what you do. You should be proud of your job/career. George Carlin said it best………”Hard work is working at a job you hate.”

Heavey Haulauge Trucks
Around the clock another Cat Truck takes the paydirt from one area to the next to be processed. It’s hard to really gauge the size of the machines but just look at the cab size or the ladder in the front to get a better idea. Oh, they get much bigger than this.. MUCH BIGGER.

A Butt Buster In The Mining Industry
A few months ago I created some images for Nordex Explosives new Buttbuster (Perimeter Control) product and they are now live on their feature website (designed by Signature Group Of Companies) It’s always great to see how the images will be used in the final medium and that the in the end the client is happy. Note: I did not create the top image or movie.
