This Industrial Welder is putting the finishing touches on a repair job as the sun sets in the background. One of the heavy gauge teeth on this scoop was damaged while working in an open pit mine. A reinforced cap will quickly get this machine back on the job site. Comments are welcome on all Mining Industrial Photographer's Blog posts.

An industrial Sandblaster prepares to resurface this sheet of metal which is to be used in the companies product. "Sandblasting" is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of fine sand against a surface under high pressure to smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, shape a surface, or remove surface contaminants. Here is another version of my "Crappy vs Snappy" scenarios where lighting, exposure and even post processing can make or break the photo and the impact you want your clients/readers/investors to see. If you are using your companies images for your marketing materials, magazine articles or your Corporate website make sure you acquire photographic images that have that "wow" factor to begin with. You don't want to look back after everything is promoted/printed and think, crap, should have went with snap.

So this is something that I am pretty stoked about. Although I have had my images on the cover of other various magazines, this is the first cover for a Mining/Industrial Magazine, so I thought I would post a shameless brag about it. I have another shoot scheduled for the cover of another Industrial Magazine this month and last month I covered a story that will be featured in a Hydro One Magazine so I am pretty excited about these publication. You can pick up your copy of Canadian Mining Magazine at the Las Vegas Mine Expo 2012 this Month.

The image below is from a recent Industrial contract located in North Bay Ontario. This spray booth is used for painting industrial equipment ranging in size from this custom fabricated cab (which will be added to the back of a Toyota Land Cruiser) to 30+ ft heavy duty equipment.

As I was airborn last week for some aerial photography I came across a few local aggregate sites that I though had some interesting layouts. The aggregate process is very complex and somewhat of a science when it comes to efficient production. Sites like these have streamlined this process to achieve maximum effeciencey in the shortest amount of time.
