Almost every mining manufacturer has a custom spraybooth on hand to finish of their customized products. A products color can be a branding tactic all on it's own.
More recently I have been getting contacted by companies that want me to photograph their whole facility, the people in the facility and all the processes that within that facility. Doing this ensures that they have a photo "archive" of their whole operation. This is a very important project to undertake, but in the end the client will have most of their marketing needs covered for the next year or two which include website, annual reports, investor reports, tradeshow booths, ezine articles and magazine publications. In the next few weeks I will be showcasing a few images from these Archive projects.
Using a mixture of abmient light and flash along with several different interior light sources can be difficult image to balance. Fortunatley the lighting inside this refinery was constant throughout and only a few additional light sources were needed to evenly illuminate the interior.
This refinery worker is securely harnessed for safety while working in a hard to reach location.
Variant Mining Technologies wanted to take their marketing materials in a new direction with their employees being the focus of the photographs. Today I created some unique images with simple but effective lighting.

Sometimes when it's the right time of day you can position yourself so that the harsh sun is coming in through upper opening of the core shack, lighting up the entire inside for a unique crisp image.
