How do you make an Mine Electrical Transformer Look Good?
You simply have to add your own lighting to bring out the details and have a proper exposure throughout the image, or you can wait until the right time of day using the sun as the main light source (which I did here). It's not easy to make things like this interesting but that is what I love about the challenges of Mine Photography.

Pioneer Construction – Heavy Hauling
I few months ago I had the opportunity to photograph some heavy equipment with Pioneer Construction at one of their open pits. By itself this truck looks like a Tonka Toy in a sandbox, but as soon as you put a person in the frame to show some scale, you can see just how enourmous this Caterpillar Off Highway Truck is.
It was a pleasure working with this company and their employees as they all showcased the upmost professionalism and courtesy.

Jumbo Driller
One of my favorite underground heavy equipment machines to photograph is the Jumbo Drill. From every angle this machine just looks cool. Instead of Tonka Trucks for kids, they should make Jumbo Drill Toys.
