Capturing the night shift is a total 180 when it comes to the look and feel of an image. I love being outdoors at night at an active site where the only illumination is coming from the facilities and equipment. It’s a great opportunity to get creative with exposure and composition.
One of my favorite times to work (when it’s warm) is when daylight has ended and I get an hour or two to capture the site at night. The sounds are different, it seems like things are slower but it is an illusion of sound. I have no timeline, no shot list, just me, the camera, and the night.
