Mining Life at LDI
A few more images I captured while visiting LDI site in Northern Ontario. Throughout my visit I captured mining life above and below the surface.

Spent a few minutes in the outdoors with Michael (Geology Technician / Exploration Surveyor) during my last visit to the Impala Canada Lac Des Iles site.

We were nearing the end of the last day of shooting, the clouds rolled in and the light was fading fast so we coordinated this image to finish of the day. Looking forward to our return this Summer to create more images for Impala’s Library.
Quality is more efficient in every way.
“I had the pleasure of using multiple photographs taken by James Hodgins, for a community report I am designing for Impala Canada.
James went onsite for a day and a half and was able to take many dynamic and diverse photos with great composition and character.
Working with James’ photos made designing a great report easy. I would highly recommend James as a very skilled and talented photographer.”

Mckean Learn and I created a variety of specific images for the report as well as starting an updated image library for Impala Canada. We had such a great time on site and a big thanks to Jamie Murphy, Brent Draper and all the employees we met during our stay. We are looking forward to getting back there again soon.
While we were following this Sandvik TH663i out of the portal the capture presented itself, I just had to make it happen. It was mid day, sun was high and sharp and the contrast between below and above ground was at this exact spot. This is what I had “in mind”
