We job shadowed Jim in the morning at the drills before it got too hot out in the Nevada desert. The chief geologist was a wealth of information on the surrounding area and it didn’t take long to capture some marketable images of him in action.
We had a great time celebrating MacLean Engineering’s production milestone at Agnico Eagle’s Goldex site featuring MacLeans 500th Bolter. It has been a privilege to create images throughout the years for this company and the friendships we have made throughout the MacLeans Team is invaluable. It was great to see familiar faces again as well as meet some new ones. Thanks to Karly Szabadkai, Viviane Baribeau, CRHA, John Chomyshyn, Tony Caron, Stephen Denomme and everyone else, it was awesome to see you all. A big thanks again to Stuart Lister for taking a chance on me years ago to provide photography for this leading company and thanks again for everything you have done through the years, it’s very much appreciated.
McKean (Mik) took right to this Jumbo Simulator during our photography session yesterday. Just like all technology the advancements in mine training simulators have come a long way and the proof is in the graphic details as well as the sounds and movements within the simulator.
We were nearing the end of the last day of shooting, the clouds rolled in and the light was fading fast so we coordinated this image to finish of the day. Looking forward to our return this Summer to create more images for Impala’s Library.
Jasper took the time to drive us around to all our locations while we were on site so it was only fitting to capture an image of her and our ride. We managed to capture some great images while we were there and we are looking forward to our next visit.

My first experience in a Foundry was at their New Liskeard facility back in 2012. I created a few images for them via the marketing company TTC Advertising. I could have spent days photographing all the different aspects of their facility but only had one day for key creatives.
