Here Comes The Boom
As she crawls her way along the rocky path illuminating the surroundings that briefly go by her presence is always one of wonder and awe.

I love it when I get to photograph equipment immediately after assembly when the paint is fresh, the tires are clean and there isn’t a scratch to be found like this Rock Breaker Scale Boss I photographed before it was shipped to it’s client.
I photographed Vanessa (3rd generation miner) and her Scoop Tram 10 years ago next month. I have also been lucky enough to photograph her sister and dad who are both in the Mining Industry with Vale as well. This was before high visibility PPE was required at Vale at all times while on site in Ontario which changed from blue to high vis orange on July 1st 2016.
I could feel the heat from the flames even after they started to die down as I captured a few frames of this process.
The images I create are used all across the marketing spectrum for my clients and on each shoot I try to create a variety of different styled images to be used in their various marketing medias. Creative high impact images for their printed marketing materials, magazine covers and annual reports. Candid images for their social media feeds like facebook, twitter and instagram. Portraits for their company profiles, board of directors and management teams as well as equipment images to showcase the fleet, operations or processes. Having custom professional photography on hand in your companies media brings more attention to the message you are trying to convey to your prospective clients. The below image was created for www.ascendantresources.com at their El Mochito Zinc mine in Honduras and was recently featured on their August Corporate Presentation
In the past I have photographed the Alimak Raise Climber from the loading platform creating images before it rises into the raise but soon I will be getting more up close and personal with the Alimak when I visit Manroc Developements in Manitouwadge Ontario.
It was a race against mother nature to get this dragline excavator back up and running. The morning clouds were rolling in fast and our available light got darker and darker as the minutes passed.
I have been photographing Epiroc (Atlas Copco) Diamond Drill bits for years now and the circular part of my logo is actually a Hobic Drill bit that I captured during one of our first shoots. I have seen the production of these bits from all stages and luckily have photographed each of them. Like my photography, these bits are always making small changes to become more efficient and productive in their environment.

I have been in a lot of shops and get to photograph some cool machinery like this Carlton Radial Drill
Every once in awhile I will have the opportunity to pair two clients into one image. While I was in Val-d’Or Quebec creating images for MacLean Engineering we visited Eldorado Gold’s Lamaque site to capture some underground images with the equipment. I was recently with Eldorado Gold in Greece (with Penda Productions) this past June and had a wonderful experience at their sites just as I knew I would here at the Lamaque Site as the Eldorado Crew is fantastic to work with. We managed to create some excellent images showcasing both companies in their environment and I am thankful to both companies for allowing me to create images of their sites, people and equipment.
