The Buzzing Sound While Mining | Mining Photography Canada
By now we are all familiar with the buzzing sound of drones as they fly above our heads outdoors or deep underground in the drifts. I see more and more drone’s being used in the mining industry and I must say the technology that accompanies the skilled aviationist’s is impressive and fascinating. Watching Matt Mackinnon founder of Unmanned Aerial Services Inc skillfully maneuver his drone through some complex areas and watching his screen where the Emesent software displayed the 3d model in real time was a first for me and I couldn’t take my eyes away.
This was the first time I photographed a drone underground and it was a challenging and exciting opportunity.
