Night Time Mining

The mines never stop production.  It's mostly a 24/7 production across the globe.  Getting out on the site at night can yield some amazing photographs, especially the 30 minutes after the sun sets when the warm glow of the sun melts over everything.

Konecranes Operator

This industrial worker uses the remote to operate the shops overhead Kone Krane.  Konecranes (In my opinion) seems to be the Industry Standard in overhead cranes as I see them most of the mines and industrial shops I photograph in.

Sunset Welding

This Industrial Welder is putting the finishing touches on a repair job as the sun sets in the background.  One of the heavy gauge teeth on this scoop was damaged while working in an open pit mine.  A reinforced cap will quickly get this machine back on the job site.  Comments are welcome on all Mining Industrial Photographer's Blog posts.

Ontario Industrial Sandblasting

An industrial Sandblaster prepares to resurface this sheet of metal which is to be used in the companies product.  "Sandblasting" is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of fine sand against a surface under high pressure to smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, shape a surface, or remove surface contaminants. A pressurized fluid, typically air, or a centrifugal wheel is used to propel the sand.
