Fish Excrement For Fertilizer | Mine Photographer

One mining company is now producing their own fertilizer in the form of Fish Excrement.  Why?  With mining companies now green and trying their best at re-foresting and re-greening past mining operations, traditional fertilizer was becoming more costly by the year.  By growing their own fish and  harvesting the fish (Rainbow Trout) "poop" for fertilizer the company now saves money while using an environmentally safe product.  Once the fish get to be too big for the pens, they are realeased into nearby lakes & rivers adding to the local fisheries.  It's a win win situation for everyone.

Core samples like the one below is the exploration drilling teams primary goal when searching out mineral bodies.  It might not look like much, but to a trained eye the sample could hold the future for mining production.

As I posted before, getting the payload out of the groundis only part of the battle.  These huge underground mining scoops carry huge amounts of paydirt to the surface to be processed.
